Valve’s newly released Counter Strike 2 has kept its audience on their tip toes for a long time but now that it is finally here the community is overwhelmed and welcoming the game with open arms. The new valve engine has done a quite impressive job with this game. Counter Strike is one of the most famous if not the most famous, gaming franchise and no doubt it has ruled the leader boards for years. The predecessor to CS2, the CSGO (Counter Strike: Global Offensive) despite being 11 years old was still on top of the steam leaderboard for the game with the largest active player base.

Let’s first get into the minimum requirements for the same:

OS: Windows® 10

Processor: 4 hardware CPU threads - Intel® Core™ i5 750 or higher

Memory: 8 GB RAM

Graphics: Video card must be 1 GB or more and should be a DirectX 11-compatible with support for Shader Model 5.0

DirectX: Version 11

Storage: 85 GB available space

Upgrades People Upgrades

Obviously, there are graphic upgrades being made to the game and its maps yet counter strike manages to give us gamers exactly what we love. The maps look more vibrant and brighter, the interaction capabilities of elements have increased, like window panes, water, also few random things like bells.

There is a major upgrade in the behaviour of smoke grenades, now they expand to fill in the space according to the environment and it also interactive (as shown in the picture below). The smoke moves out of its way as the bullets travels through and then reforms. HE grenades also clear out the smoke for an instant and then it fills back in.

Also, Molotov’s are a lot more realistic now, from their own textures (the fluid in the Molotov shifts according to speed and position of the player). Upon throwing the flames even spread and leave behind the ground a little charred.

Sounds have also become a lot better helping you identify the direction from which it originated. The sound produced by a firearm also differ according to the surroundings you use it in. Even throwing any item now has a unique sound i.e., the sound when u throw a rifle would be different to that of when you throw a pistol.
