An Indian Pilgrim (by Subhas Chandra Bose) #ForwardReviews
Rating – 5/5
Beyond the general public image of Subhas Chandra Bose, as dressed in the INA uniform, this book gives you a completely different insight on the hero – from the time of His birth till the resignation of Indian Civil Service.
Indulged in spiritual practice since childhood, Bose was inspired by the ideologies of Swami Vivekananda. This book accounts the development of the spirit of patriotism and service to mankind in the tender mind of young Subhas; as also the zeal for liberation of His motherland which, off course, became the sole aim of His life. Not mentioning the basic problems in every child’s life; Subhas was no exception to that and has boldly jotted down the measures He had used to overcome them.
To sum up, the autobiography, written in a simple and lucid language, engages the readers in a candid dialogue with the greatest national hero India has ever produced.
